Club Restaurant & Bar

The Ipswich & Suffolk Club's Restaurant and Bar are open every weekday offering both traditional silver service and bistro style dining.

Bar open from 11am. Restaurant 12:30pm - 2:00pm

Saturday 2nd December - Annual Members Dinner

This is the one event not be missed. Three-course menu fully inclusive of wine and port to open the Christmas season. Early booking recommended.

Members only and black tie please. Bar open 7.00pm. Dinner served 7.30pm. £50.00 inclusive of table wines and Port.

Thursday 7th December - Speakers Lunch - Stevie Schofield on Cruse Bereavement

This is a charity that will jump in and offer support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies and work to enhance society’s care of bereaved people.

Pre lunch drinks 11.45. Lunch 12.15pm. £15.00 per person.

Tuesday 12th December - Scrabble Evening with Supper

Test your knowledge at a great fun evening.

Bar opens 6.30pm with a hot supper (diets catered for). Scrabble to follow.

Entry cost inc. supper is £12.00 with a prize for the winner.

Wednesday 13th December - Flower Evening with Julia Gooch

Come to our 7th class to be taught by a Chelsea Gold Medal Winner on how to create a stunning Christmas centrepiece.

Please bring your own scissors. 6.30pm Bar. 7pm start.
Price £35.00 inc Supper with Pudding and a high value display to take home. Strictly limited numbers.

Thursday 14th December - Club Carol Service @ St Mary Le Tower

Bring your family and friends to our annual Club Carol Service. Mulled wine at the Club followed by a service at St Mary Le Tower Church, then a finger buffet back at the Club. Children are FOC.

Mulled wine: 6.45pm. Service 7.15pm. £14.00 per adult all profits to church.

Monday 18th December - Friday 22nd - Christmas party lunch week


Celebrate Christmas with a small gathering without the late night with office colleagues or family. Traditional turkey or why not have one of our other dishes from our multi choice menu.

Bar open 12.00. Lunch 12.30pm. £20.00 per person.

Friday 22nd December - Christmas Dinner for family and friends


Book you very own table and enjoy the festivities with all your friends and family. Traditional turkey or why not have one of our other dishes from our multi choice menu.

Bar open 7.00. Dinner 7.30pm. £32.00 per person.

snooker at the Ipswich and Suffolk ClubThe Ipswich and Suffolk Club boast a superb snooker facility with two first class tables in gererously proportioned adjacent rooms, conveniently located next to the club bar!

Here a thriving snooker section plays informally on a daily basis and throughout the year in club and inter-club competition.

The snooker section has for many years been under the capable stewardship of Snooker Captain Allan Williams, who with the help of the snooker committee makes sure that the full programme of matches are always well attended and much enjoyed by all.

The Ipswich and Suffolk Club Book GroupOwing to their popularity, the Ipswich & Suffolk Club runs two Book Groups for the enjoyment of its members.

Running throughout the year, the Book Group operates on either the first or the third Wednesday of every month depending upon which group you join.

The club Book Groups see an eclectic range of modern and classic literature discussed by its members.

All members are welcome to come along and join the discussions plus enjoy an informal light lunch afterwards.

Bridge at the Ipswich and Suffolk ClubCaptained by Tim Hedley, the Ipswich and Suffolk Bridge Club meets every Tuesday morning for bridge in the Adam Room ahead of an enjoyable lunch in the club restaurant.

Here duplicate bridge is keenly contested by members and guests.

Golf | Print |

Regular golfing activity for members in IpswichMany of our members are keen amateur golfers and the club’s golf section provides regular opportunities to play in friendly competition.

Matches are played annually against local rivals, the Bury Farmers Club and the Colchester Garrison Officers Club and every year the Barnard Cup (stableford golf day) and Northgate Trophy (knockout) are keenly contested.

Our Scrabble Club usually runs in the evening of the second Tuesday of the month.

Test your wordplay skills and knowledge against other club members at a great fun evening.

Bar opens 6.30pm with a hot supper (diets catered for) and Scrabble to follow.

Chess | Print |

We are delighted to announce the launch of our Chess Club.

Our next event will be Wednesday 10th January 2018 from 6:30pm and is open to all members whether you are a beginner or more experienced as the group can cater for all levels and abilities. Please do bring along a board if you have one.

Please note that there is no catering at this event but the Club Bar will be open.
